Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) has lauded the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) for their firm commitment in restoring transparency by revealing the identity of those who had illegally gone through the elite competitive examination (NPSC). A press note issued by assistant general secretary K. Mhachio Odyuo and speaker U/A Alebu Nagi praised the NSF for their courageous decision in coming out “black & white”, at the same time aired grave concern that the 11 candidates involved in the scam are children of officials holding responsible position in the government of Nagaland. Further, the student body said “by exposing the identity of the 11 candidates and the two officials involved in the scandal has delivered justice to thousands of students” and urged the authority in-charge to expedite the case and bring forth “what penalties” they deserved. The union has also appealed to national workers or politician to desist from indulging any further threat or harm to the investigating agency or the commission. While reaffirming its commitment to the NSF in unearthing the evil menace that has plagued the society, the union also reiterated that it would stand tall against all odds to create a corruption free society.
