Earth hour on March 28
KOHIMA: All Nagaland Private School Association has directed member schools across the state to observe Earth Hour on March 28. It stated that students and parents should be mobilized to switch off electric lights from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm on March 28. DIMAPUR: Parliamentary secretary for transport and communication, P. Dako Phom would be attending a departmental meeting of Nagaland State Transport, Dimapur on March 28. According to an official bulletin, the Parliamentary Secretary would also visit Mon and address a public meeting on March 27.
NRSU educational tour
DIMAPUR: The executive of Nyiro Range Students’ Union would visit the Primary Health Centre (PHC) and all government schools under its jurisdiction on March 26 and 27. In a press release, Mhonbemo K. Ezung, President Nyiro Range Students’ Union has informed all staff members and students community to be present during its educational tour cum surprise checking of the educational institutions and health centres.
Phomching sub-division women seminar
DIMAPUR: Nagaland Women Commission would be organizing Phomching sub-division women seminar on the theme “Towards a new horizon” with special emphasis on “Legal rights and women, importance of nutrition for women and child and women-health and education”. The seminar would be conducted at Konyak Baptist Church Phomching on March 27 at 9 am. Three women delegates comprising women representative of VDB and chairman/GB of the village or a prominent woman NGO from each village under Phomching sub-division have been invited to attend the seminar.
DIMAPUR: Eleven day writer’s workshop for review writing dictionary in all Naga language would be conducted from March 25 at Circuit House Dimapur. Workshop would be conducted by Dr. Kapfo head of tribal languages, Central Institute of Indian languages, Mysore.

DIMAPUR: Campaign rally under Phek district for the ensuing Lok Sabha and by-election at Pfutsero town scheduled on April 4 has been postponed to April 9.
DIMAPUR: An emergency meeting has been convened for candidates of Assam Rifle recruitment rally held on January 9 to 27. Those candidates who qualified medical fitness test but names and chest number missing in ATC recruitment website or have not received calling letter are requested to attend the meeting on March 31 at 11 a.m at parade ground Tuensang.

Applicants are to submit full postal address, school level exam passed, university level exam passed, Hindi diploma passed (with name of Hindi organisation) and teaching remarks experienced (in year) to be submitted to Central Institute of Hindi, Agra.
