Naga bodies share views in meet

Representatives of the three Naga underground groups - NSCN (I-M), ‘NSCN/GPRN’and NNC (None-Accordist) - civil societies, church and tribal hohos took part in the deliberation and shared their views through paper presentations on second day of the three-day Naga Consultative Meet on Friday. Talking to media persons on the sideline of the meet, PAC chairman Dr TM Lotha, who is the convenor of the meet, said the meet was heading towards its desire goal. He also expected positive outcome of the three-day meet and said the resolution drafting committees were collecting and compiling all the paper presentations as also views and ideas shared during the series of deliberations. He said the meet has brought different sections of Nagas closure. Meanwhile, the overseas Nagas, who have come to attend the Naga Consultative Meet here, called on Governor K Sankaranarayanan at Raj Bhavan on Friday and discussion on a wide number of issues of mutual interest. During the interaction, the Governor urged the Naga visitors to motivate developments in Nagaland. When queried by the visitors about a possible solution to the Naga political problem, the Governor expressed optimism and said time should not be wasted further.
