4 apply for Cong ticket

Four aspirants have applied for Congress ticket to contest the election to lone Lok Sabha seat in the state. Both the NPCC president KV Pusa and Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Chingwang Konyak, who are currently in New Delhi, on Saturday confirmed that sitting Lok Sabha MP W Wangyuh Konyak, former two-time Lok Sabha MP K Asungba Sangtam, former minister ET Ezung and a lady Toshirenla have applied for the Congress ticket to contest the coming Lok Sabha election. It was learnt that the meeting of the Central Executive Committee (CEC) of Congress Party for Parliamentary Elections in New Delhi on Sunday would discuss on the party candidate from Nagaland. However, highly placed sources in the Congress Party from Delhi revealed that the candidate for Nagaland would be announced only in the middle part of March. Meanwhile, Pusa informed that he has called a party meeting on March 15 to deliberate on the bye-polls to the four Assembly constituencies. Correspondent
