Stating that the India National Congress (INC) has gone beyond fulfilling what it promised five years back, the NPCC Wednesday appealed the people of Nagaland to once again reaffirm their faith in the party. CLP leader, Chingwang Konyak and NPCC president K. V. Pusa in a joint statement said the NPCC has widely opened its door to all and sundry and invited the people of Nagaland to come and join “our big family and take pride to be a part of a political party which assures and delivers stability, peace, development and progress.” NPCC pointed out that the INC which had attained 123 years has been consistently striving to fulfill the hopes and aspiration of all the citizens and assuring them a secure and dignified life. It pointed out the INC’s accomplishments in the last five years in key areas like employment, education, health, social, security, roads, water supply, tribal welfare, etc and described it as “solid and substantial.” NPCC also pointed that the Congress has gone beyond its commitment by striking a landmark nuclear deal, the Right to Information Act etc. NPCC said managing GDP at 9% and Inflation level at 3.1% were no means less achievements when the most advanced Western and Europeans nations were bogged down with heavy meltdown.
