Business highlights of 11th NLA

Besides the starred question, the other list of business on the concluding day of the third session of the 11th Assembly included presenting a copy of Report of the C&AG for the year ended 31st March 2008, Appropriation Account 2007-08, and Finance Accounts 2007-08 by the state chief minister, Neiphu Rio. The chief minister also laid on the table a copy of the review of the trends in receipts and expenditure for the first, second and third quarter of the year 2008-09, as required under Section 11 of the Nagaland Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management Act, 2005, stated an official bulletin. Chairman, Committee on Estimates, L. Temjen Jamir laid on the table a copy each of the committee report 2008-09 for the following: (a) Nineteenth report on Action taken on the observations contained in the 86th Report of the committee of Estimates of Fisheries Department on Centrally Sponsored Scheme. (b) Ninety first Report on Action taken on the observations contained in the 87th Report of the committee on Estimates of State Institute of rural Development (Economic of bee and economic of poultry with kuroilers a low cost technology bird) Chairman, Committee on Public Undertakings, Dr. Neikiesalie Nicky Kire also laid a copy of the 18th Report on Action taken by the government on the observations and recommendations contained in the 16th Report of the Public Undertakings Committee on Nagaland State Mineral Development Corporation (NHHDC) Ltd. under Industries and Commerce department on the paras contained in C&AGs Report for the year 2001-2002. Chairman, Committee on Public Accounts, Vikho-o Yhoshü presented a copy of the 86th Report of the Committee on Public Accounts (2008-09) on the report of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India for the year 2002-03 and relevant Appropriation and finance Accounts. A copy of the 70th Report of the Committee on Government Assurances (3rd and 4th Session of the 10th Nagaland Legislative Assembly) was also presented in the house. Other business highlights included passing of supplementary demands for grants for the year 2008-09, Nagaland Appropriation (No 1 Bill, 2009, 2 & 3), supplementary demands for grants for regularization of excess expenditure for the year 1996-1997 and discussion and voting on the vote on account for the year 2009-2010. Speaker Nagaland Legislative Assembly, Kiyanilie Peseyie adjourned the house sine die around noon.
