The only way to strengthen the national integration is to solve the problems of the tribal people, said Mani Charenamei, sitting independent MP from Manipur contesting the elections for second term as nominee of People Democratic Party (PDA) from the Outer Manipur Parliamentary constituency on Wednesday. Mani Charenamei was speaking at an election rally of the PDA at Churachandpur district headquarters on Wednesday which was also attended by independent MLAs extending support to PDA candidate. Charannamei further stating on Naga integration said that tribal people in Manipur can only go ahead with development when separate states are created for them. The issues and problems of the tribal people have been raised in the Parliament several times, he observed but due to lack of support from national political parties, the same remain unmoved, he added strongly criticizing the double standard policy of the national political parties. With only eight days left for polls at the Outer Manipur Parliamentary Reserved constituency, campaigns of candidates in the fray has been hiking up.
