GMS Sarbura Sports week

The annual sports week of GMS Sarbura cum inauguration of school fencing and computer centre was held Wednesday with H.S Dhanny chief engineer 3 corps Rangapahar as the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest H.S Dhanny, chief engineer 3 corps Rangapahar said schools have a very important role of spreading the light and in making the children as responsible citizens of the country. He further hoped that the school would continue to play the sterling role of providing quality education to the students through its motto “deeds not word.” The chief guest also appreciated the various contribution made by the school in molding the future of students in the form of academic excellence and various co-circular activities. Head teacher K. Jeliangga, GMS Sarbura thanked the 3 corps, Rangapahar for providing 8 computers, accessories including colour printers and furniture to the students under OP Sadbhavana projects undertaken by the regiment in Nagaland and assured them that the school would make the best use for the benefit of the students. The school also thanked the 3 corps Rangapahar for constructing the fencing around the school. The programme was witnessed; march past from the GMS students, Sholin Kungfu display from Roukuo John, the chief instructor, Dimapur district and his group, drill display from the students of GMS Sarbura and an action song from the students. Later the chief guest presented the prizes to the students where the over all house championship went to Blue house. In individual category, the sportsperson of the week in boy section went to Ashong Konyak of blue house while the sportsperson of the week for girls went to Jakom of yellow house.
