CTC graduation day DIMAPUR: Clark Theological College (CTC) will hold its 34th Graduation Ceremony on April 19 at the college campus, Aolijen. General Secretary Asia Theological Association, Reverend Dr. Brian Wintle, will attend the ceremony as the graduation speaker. Revival camp in Mon DIMAPUR: Healing revival camp would be held at Konyak Baptist Church, Mon town from April 17 to 19. President IEF, Nagaland Rev. Lanu Longchar would be the speaker and IEF Mon unit members as counselors.Secretary KBCM, T. Nokpang, MLA, chairman MARCOFED & DPDB Mon C.L. John and his lady wife donated a sum of rupees one lakh to host the healing revival camp. People who are physically and spiritually sick have been asked to attend at the camp starting 10 am to 12 noon on April 18. Lotha GBs meet DIMAPUR: General meeting/annual session of all GBs of Lotha residing in Dimapur has been convened on April 11at Lotha Hoho Ki at 8.30 am. Absentees in the meeting will be charged/ treated with fine as per the constitution of the Lotha GB’s Union Dimapur. DDCSD meet DIMAPUR: Dimapur District Congress Seva Dal (DDCSD) has convened an emergency meeting of its members on April 10, 2 p.m at the residence of chief organizer H. Athrongba Sangtam, opposite Dr. Belho’s nursing home, Walford road Dimapur. All members of DDCSD have been requested to attend the meeting and to contact 9856311656 for further information. NU PG I & III semester routine DIMAPUR: Nagaland University (NU) has declared examination time table for English, Education, History & Archaeology, Commerce, Geology post graduate 1st & 3rd semester (Kohima campus). According to assistant registrar (exams) Otova Swu, the exam would commence at 10am starting May 5 to 18 and the duration of the paper would be as indicated in the question paper. Watsu Mungdang conference DIMAPUR: The 17th Watsu Mungdang (Ao Women Hoho) conference will be held on April 23 and 24 at Mokokchung town hall on the theme “Encompassive knowledge” .Member Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC), Dr. Kilemla Ao will grace the occasion as chief guest. Highlights of the conference include house discussions on voices of women where six scholars would take part in the discussions. Exhibition-cum-sale of Watsu Mungdang products would also be held during the conference. LSUD 37th meet DIMAPUR: The 37th general meeting of Longjang Students’ Union Dimapur (LSUD) has been convened on April 11, 9:30 am at the residence of union treasurer, Panger Pongen. Union president, Temjen Aier and general secretary, Amenla Imchen have requested all members to attend the meeting and further cautioned that members failing to attend without genuine reason would be penalized as per the union constitution. NEFSA meet postponed DIMAPUR: General meeting of Nagaland Forest Executive Staff Association (NEFSA) has been postponed to April 23 at 11 am at Dimapur Forest Colony. All unit presidents have been informed to attend the meeting. TSU emergency meet DIMAPUR: An emergency meeting of Tseminyu Students’ Union (TSU) has been convened on April 10 at 1:30 pm at residence of union banker, Hillo Khing. All executive members and advisors have been requested to attend the meet LSU rebuffs rumour DIMAPUR: Lotsu Village Students Union (LVSU) has rebuffed the rumour of its involvement in certain political issues regarding the upcoming election. LVSU has clarified that it was not trying to play political interest or to go against any political party. However, the union stated that it wanted the election to be conducted smoothly with cooperation and without any misunderstanding. Dispute settled DIMAPUR: Dispute between Thilixu and Thilixu New village has been amicably settled by signing the compromise deed on March 27 by both the parties. Informing this in a press statement Hecto Kiba, Head GB, Thilixu Village said “henceforth there shall be no more Thilixu New village” and all matters whatsoever shall be managed under the district control of original Thilixu village Last phase trg for polling officers of Zbto DIMAPUR: All polling officials drafted for the ensuing Lok Sabha elections have been informed that last phase of training and final rehearsal would be conducted April 13 at 11 am at St. Paul School, D.C. Hill Zunheboto. All officials have been directed to attend the training. DC also informed that legal action would be initiated against the absentees failing to attend the training. NPF Central Youth Wing relieves gen. secy DIMAPUR: The NPF Central Youth Wing has relived Mutsukhoyo Yhobu from the post of general secretary, with immediate effect to pursue his further assignment in other NGOs organization. The NPF Youth Wing has acknowledged, Mutsukhoyo for his valuable contribution towards the party. A press statement issued by Achamo Kikon, press secretary, NPF Central Youth Wing, has wished him success in his future endeavour. Extempore leadership amongst officers DIMAPUR: To inculcate leadership qualities amongst senior officers of higher education directorate and its subordinate establishments an ‘extempore leadership LAB’ was conducted on April 7 and 8 in the directorate premises at Kohima. Dr. Abraham P. Ruby from the 6th Sense Resource Private Limited, Bangalore was the Resource Person. This programme was funded by the Government of Nagaland as a drive towards its capacity building initiative. Public rally in Vihokhu Village DIMAPUR: Vihokhu Village would be organising a public rally on April 11 at 10 am. All GBs, VCC, VC members, public leaders and party workers in all the villages of Nihokhu and Kuhuboto area have been requested to attend the rally. DEO informs JNV applicants DIMAPUR: District Education Officer, Kekosie has informed applicants of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) to collect admit card for JNV test examination scheduled to be held at Government Higher secondary School, Dimapur at 9:30 am. General meeting Cong, Chumukedima area DIMAPUR: General meeting of Congress, Chumukedima area has been convened on April 13 at the residence of Batou Kuotsu, Councillor, CTC and President Congress, Chumukedima area at 3 pm. Parent wing, Mahila wing, Youth wing and all the party workers have been informed to attend the meeting. Wokha general meet postponed DIMAPUR: General meeting of Wokha village has been postponed from April 11 to April 25 due to inconvenience of time. This was informed in a press release issued by Phyanyamo Murry, Chairman,Wokha Village Council. New DDC Phek secretary DIMAPUR: Kuzhosheyi Soho ahs been appointed as secretary, district congress committee (DCC) Phek. This was stated in a release issued president district congress committee Phek, Mikha Kenye. DCC Zbto rally DIMAPUR: Zunheboto District Congress Committee has expressed gratitude to MLA Kheto Kinimi, through whose dedication, guidance and efforts, election rally held at Zunheboto town on April 8 was a huge success. Through a joint press statement by Hoveto Kiba and P. Hutovi Awomi, President and general secretary of DCC, Zunheboto respectively, ZDCC along with district Mahila Congress, Youth Congress, NSUI and Seva Dal have assured the MLA of total co-operation to bring success and victory to Congress candidate for Lok Sabha, Padma Shree K.
