The 30 candidates who had applied for recruitment rally in Tuensang on January 10 and 27 has sought clarification from DGAR Hq. Shillong on the preparation of its result in Shillong. The candidates bearing chest No. 290, 112, 145, 154, 172, 375, 202, 220, 205, 279, 263, 303, 341, 406, 81, 388, 222, 414, 110, 3, 33, 10, 393, 54, 65, 31, 417, 201, 294, and 52 stated in a press communiqué that in spite of clearing medical fitness and written test, their names were not included in the merit list. They also said when they inquired about the inconsistency in the result, the ADIG 1st AR Tuensang said the result was prepared from Shillong, and further questioned the motive of authorities in dispatching “remaining vacant seats to other state when the recruitment was purely meant for Nagaland”. Substantiating their demand, the signatories further threatened to stage a sit-in-dharna at RP gate 1st Assam Rifles on April 11, insisting justice from the authorities for being denied opportunity when 15 medically unfit candidates were placed in the merit list.
