Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) has demanded that the culprits under police custody who were involved in March 25 incident should not be granted bail. Affirming its earlier stand that all culprits should be apprehended and awarded befitting punishment, the AKM has said that police, administration and judiciary would be held responsible if the culprits replicate the same crime in the future. The AKM further lauded the initiative of NSCN (IM) for apprehending the two culprits, Imtikumzuk and Hetoi alias Hetobu and expressed expectations that police would speed up the operation to nab the remaining absconders. AKM in a press release issued by vice president Opanglemba has condemned the April 8 incident at Dimapur where one Imnaonen of Don Bosco Higher Secondary School was kidnapped by three persons - Banuo Angami, Akhrie Angami and Bovika Sumi at Nagarjan ‘B’. AKM stated “such act should be looked down by each right thinking Naga” and demanded for befitting punishment to the culprits.
