NPF candidate for 3 Dimapur-III Assembly Constituency Azheto Zhimomi appealed to his supporters in Padumpukhuri not to resort to provocation and create unwanted situation in the area but to maintain calm and peaceful atmosphere. He was addressing a meeting with NPF supporters at Padampukhuri on April 10, accompanied by Shetoi Sema, MLA and Chairman NHHDC Nagaland, DMC members S. Vihuto Yeptho and G. Kits and host of NPF party workers. Azheto said there was always crisis in the Congress and raised question on how the Congress with leadership dispute could work for the people. He said he sacrificed his position and shifted party for the sake of people of Dimapur-III, and alleged that it was Congress party that ‘betrayed’ him. Shetoi who spoke in support of the NPF candidate stated that Congress party had no vision for the people and that it was a party run by rejected and outdated leaders. “Congress cannot do anything for the people but instead charge other party and individuals with false allegations, not realizing that they are more corrupt than others”, he added. He also alleged that DAN government did not have the system of supply orders unlike the Congress government. Stating that youth were the leaders of tomorrow, he said DAN government made many provisions and programmes for the welfare of the youth and vowed that the criteria of the youth would be fulfilled. He further urged the people of Padampukhuri not to allow outsiders to come and create trouble during the election.
