Nagaland Pradesh Youth Congress Saturday organized a motorbike rally to register their protest against “ongoing rampant corruption” in the state under the democratic alliance of Nagaland government. Flagging off the rally from Congress Bhavan, NPYCC president Atopu Sumi said the rally was organized to protest against “corruption by the DAN” and to tell to people that Congress could provide clean government for all round development. The Congress youth said the party could transform the aspiration of the people into reality and for economic and political empowerment of the youth and to bring new heights of achievement. According to press statement issued by the Congress “the top of the agenda of the Congress youth is to reject corruptions, nepotism, mal-administration, anti-social elements and partisan attitude of the NPF and the DAN”. The NPYCC also promised to work for permanent and honourable settlement of ‘Indo-Naga’ political issue which would usher in peace, unity, development, progress and prosperity. “Congress is also national party that stands for common people” Sumi said while addressing the gathering. He said the party would continue to work and stand for secularism, justice, equality and empowerment of weaker sections of the society. “Congress is the only party which is marching ahead with new hopes and new visions” the Naga congress youth said. According to the press statement, hundreds of congress youth took part in the rally to show their solidarity to the Congress, “but above to vent their anger and protest against the rampant corruption” taking place in the state.
