NPF President, Dr. Shurhozelie Liezietsu on Monday said that the party was ready to lend its full support if the Congress could take the initiatives in finding a solution to the Naga political issue but alleged that the latter was the one who was eluding the efforts of the Nagas on the same issue. The NPCC has alleged that the NPF cannot take the initiatives in finding solution to the Naga political issue, but the Congress is the one who are not attending when the whole Nagas came together in their quest to find solution. Dr. Shurhozelie said while talking to the Nagaland Post in his party official chamber here today. He exuded confidence that the NPF would win the lone Lok Sabha seat as well as the four assembly seats which goes to polls on April 16. “It’s not an easy task, but we’re confident of winning all the four assembly seats and also the lone Lok Sabha seat,” he said. It may be mentioned that NPCC president K.V.Pusa had stated during the election campaign rally at Tuophema village yesterday that the NPF cannot take the initiatives for finding solution to the Naga political issue but that only the Congress party could take the initiatives and find solution to the Naga political issue. Pusa reiterated the same today in the party’s last election campaign rally held in front of the Congress Bhavan. He claimed that the Congress had been so vocal on the need to stop bloodshed among the Naga brothers and sisters.
