Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee Thursday expressed surprise over the “complete silence” of the ruling DAN coalition over the unusual corruption as highlighted by state’s Accountant General (AG). NPCC president KV Pusa disclosed that state AG had publicly advised the DAN government to curb corrupt activities of the state government. Pusa said : “ this has been hitting the headlines of the dailies in the State for the last few days but it is amazing that the DAN Government is remaining silent”. Terming it as “shameful” the elected government was indulging in corruption on such a scale, Pusa asserted that “if what the AG revealed is to be believed that money sent by the Central Government and the money spent by the DAN Government for developmental activities in Nagaland is not commensurate, one should ask ‘what are they doing with all these money?’ The Naga people deserve to know the whole matter, Pusa maintained.
