In a reply to NPF Youth Wing rejoinder to NPYC, dated March 24, general secretary, NPYC Kiyexu Chishi, said Nagaland Pradesh Youth Congress was pained to state that NPF youth wing was setting aside the genuine issues of public concern, where rampant extortion, intimidation, rape, killing, corruptions were the order of the day. What was more discouraging, according to him was that even some of the state’s senior most bureaucrats and top officials were under perilous threat, spreading insecurity in the minds of the people while properties were not safe either. While dwelling on the issues of security and public welfare, the general secretary advised the NPF youth wing to try to understand the sentiments of the thousands of families who have been inflicted upon with pain and suffering due to deteriorating law and order situation and ‘poor governance’. Tremendous promise and assurances had been made by the NPF party, he said and went on to add that for six long years there was still no sight of solving the Naga Political issue by this NPF led government. It further stated it was very unfortunate that corruption in various departments including the NPSC scam were going unabated in the eyes of the public, and alleged the NPF party, which had been advocating ‘transparency and accountability’ in their election manifesto, was now trying to hush up all the irregularities and corruption charges by victimizing the genuine aspirants. “The Congress being a people oriented and premier political party always stood for the development, upliftment and social justice of the common people, and in this endeavor the Congress would continue to stand and fight for their cause”, he added. The NPYC further has cautioned the NPF youth wing to be aware of the diabolical games and design set by their senior leaders and also advised the NPF youth wing to accept truth and understand the political misgivings being committed by NPF led DAN government rather than making tall claims trying to find fault at other’s.
