KKR to announce captain, squad in SA
KOLKATA, MAR 30 (PTI): Apparently fearing a public outrage after Sourav Ganguly was stripped of sole captaincy role, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on Monday said they will announce their skipper and squad for the Indian Premier League second season in South Africa and not in India. After the six-day training camp concluded on Monday, KKR Director of Cricket Operations John Buchanan while leaving the Eden Gardens merely said a 24-member squad will fly to South Africa on Tuesday. DIMAPUR: A 28-year-old man was apprehended by some residents of Diphupar for allegedly attempting to rape his sister-in-law and later handed him over to police. According to police, the accused identified as one Suresh Dhar a resident of Diphupar C. Khel who was in a drunken state was caught by the residents while he was attempting to rape his sister-in-law on Sunday night. Naga council condemns
DIMAPUR: Naga Council Dimapur (NCD) has condemned “aggression” perpetrated upon the Nagas living in North Cachar Hills, Assam allegedly by DHD (J) killing and injuring many.
NCD general secretary, W Lemba Chang in a press note appealed “Naga brothers” to settle amicably on the basis of age old tradition. Further, NCD also appealed responsible to refrain from blowing the incident out of proportion.

Kohima: The Indian Institute of Advance Studies Shimla and the Indian Council of Social Science Research, North Eastern Regional Centre (ICSSR-NERC) Shillong will conduct a two day workshop on Construction of the idea of evil from March 31 to April 1 at Hotel Japfü.
