DMC extends developmental work

Chairperson Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC), Khekaho Assumi, Monday, said that “Trusted team work can make absolute difference for which a dynamic leadership was also essential to bring desired changes in a society.” Speaking after inaugurating the newly tarred road, stretching 950 ft at Duncan Basti, Dimapur under Ward-11, the DMC chief stressed on the importance of leadership for which he was of the view that the leaders should inculcate the spirit of ‘sacrifice’ that has to be shown in action and not by words. Khekaho further said various developmental activities, that is being carried was achieved due to the intervention of the state chief minister, Neiphiu Rio and NPF president, Dr. Shurhozelie. The DMC chief in return also promised all possible help in constructing the link bridge between Dimapur and Bor-Lengri under Karbianglong district, Assam. Earlier, the programme began with an invocation prayer pronounced by Wochamo Odyuo, a resident of Bor-Lengri. Others who also spoke on the occasion included various council members of Lengrijan, Bor-Lengri and Duncan Basti, who all appreciated the developmental works undertaken by its councilor, Yanger Toshi and further requested the DMC chairperson to undertake more developmental activities in their areas.
