Aoleang fest '09 Kohima: Konyak Union Kohima will celebrate its festival Aoleang on April 1 at 10.30 am at the official residence of K. Naiba Konyak, parliamentary secretary, Youth Resources and Sports, Land Revenue. All Konyak citizens in Kohima and its peripheries have been requested to attend the festival without fail. In regard to the Konyak festival, the Konyak Union has appealed to the government departments, colleges, schools and other institutions to grant all Konyak citizens leave from April 1to 3. Control room at CEO office DIMAPUR: A control room has been set up at the office of the chief electoral officer, Nagaland under the charge of OSD to CEO, Allen Gongmei. Election observer arrives state capital DIMAPUR: Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Kohima, Sachopra Vero has informed that the Election Observer for Kohima ( 8 A/Cs), Peren (2 A/Cs), Wokha (4 A/Cs) and Pughoboto, R.R. Mehta IAS has arrived at Kohima and is currently stationed at Circuit House, Kohima. Timing for public interview with the election observer has been fixed between 8am to 9 am and can contacted on phone no. 9402433062. ACCC meet DIMAPUR: 2 Dimapur-II ACCC has convened an executive meeting of ACCC, AMCC, AYC, DCC, DYC, DMCC and polling booth committee under its constituency on April 3 at 10 am at DCC conference hall. All concerned have been requested to attend the meeting. DMC meet DIMAPUR: Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has convened a meeting on March 31 at 11 am at its conference hall. According to a press release issued by DMC chairperson, K. Khekaho Assumi, the meeting has been called to deliberate on different issues including city parking and shopping mall at New Market, Dimapur, collections of residential sanitary tax and granting of 13 percent DA and ADA to DMC employees. The release further requested all DMC councilors to attend the meeting. NPF meet DIMAPUR: A joint emergency meeting of all frontal units under Diphupar area primary unit has been convened on April 2 at 2 pm at the residence of Qhutovi Awomi, treasurer, 4 Ghaspani-I A/C. General secretary of the unit, I. Wati Lemtor, in a press release has requested all concerned to attend the meeting along with agenda (s) in the interest of the party as the meeting would be focusing mainly on the ensuing parliamentary election. JD (U) meet DIMAPUR: Janata Dal (United) of 40 Bhandari A/C has convened a meeting on March 31 at 10 am at GA Rest House, Bhandari town, Wokha, for which all constituency and village level office bearers including the party workers have been requested to attend the meeting. DEO Mon feted DIMAPUR: Village Education Committee (VEC) and general public of Tobu village under Mon district have extended appreciation to DEO Mon for extending one class room each in both sector ‘A’ and ‘C’ of Tobu village and further wished him success in his future endeavors. NPF Dmu-II informs DIMAPUR: Nagaland People’s Front (NPF) Dimapur II A/C has formed its new team of office bearers for ward number 21 with Lichamo Tungoe as president, Atoba Imsong as general secretary, Vihoto Awomi as joint secretary and B. Wati as treasurer. In a press release issued by Atoba Imsong, general secretary of NPF ward number 21 Dimapur II A/C has welcomed Akato Sumi, DMC ward number 21 Dimapur II to the NPF party and also uttered hope that his leadership would strengthen the NPF party in the coming MP election.
