EBC Alumni meet DIMAPUR: A get together for the Alumni of Eastern Bible College (EBC) would be held on April 4 at 10 am at its college for which all alumni have been requested to attend. TSUD meet dimapur: In a press statement issued by Chenti Kath, President, Tenyemi Students Union Dimapur (TSUD), the union has convened its 1st presidential meeting on April 1 at 10 am at its office. All unit presidents, sub-ordinate bodies, seniors and executive members have been requested to attend the meeting. SRSU assembly DIMAPUR: The 2nd Union Assembly of Suruhoto Range Students’ Union (SRSU) has been convened held on April 8 at 10 a.m at the residence of its banker, Suruhoto town. Advisors of SRSU have been informed to attend the assembly. IEM meet DIMAPUR: A consultative meeting of the staff of Indian Evangelical Mission (IEM) has been convened on April 1 at Bethel Medical centre, new complex 3rd floor Kohima. New NPF unit formed in Dmu Dimapur: A new NPF unit in ward number 17 was formed on March 30 with Chandu Prasad as president, Amar Singh as vice president, Bhagchand Jain as general secretary, Ajay Jain as joint secretary and Harinder Singh as Treasurer in the presence of Khondao Ngullie, president 2 Dimapur II A/C, Shikuto Yeptho, working president, Temjen Jamir general secretary. BTSU seize Gutkas Dimapur: Bhandari town Students, Union in a surprise checking seized about 340 tez and about 55 talabs. In a press release Athungo Mozhui BTSU president said that the seized gutkas were burned in the presence of EAC Bhandari, KLRPO. He further thanked the district administration for their support and cooperation. NPMCC appoints president Dimapur: Nagaland Pradesh Mahila Congress Committee (NPMCC) has appointed Asangla Imli as Mahila acting/Adhoc president of the Dimapur district and Tinghoel as Mahila Adhoc president of peren district. Atsole Wazah president NPMCC in a press release has wished them best in their respective activities. DC Wka notify arm holders DIMAPUR: In view of the forth coming Lok Sabha election, deputy commissioner Wokha has notified to all holders of arms license to deposit their firearms along with their license at the nearest police station on or before April 7 without fail. An official bulletin stated that stern action would be taken as per the provision of law should there be failure to comply this notification within the specified period. F&CS dept notify fair price shops DIMAPUR: Assistant director food & civil supplies, Wokha in a official bulletin, requested all fair price shops to renew their permit for the year 2009-10 from the office of the assistant director food & civil supplies, Wokha during office hour on or before April 30. PLP to register non-local residents DIMAPUR: Phom Laivangh Pangthai (PLP), Longleng, has resolved to register all non locals within the district for which all concerned have been asked to report to its office along with two recent passport size photograph and residency proof certificate. According to a press release issued by PLP Convener for ILP committee, Chaupong Leinak, the registration would start from April 9 to 11. Further, the PLP has conveyed Monyu greetings, which starts from April 1 to 6, to all its citizens. NBSE inform candidates DIMAPUR: All candidates of HSLC and HSSLC examination 2009 who have appeared in the subjects which they have not opted for in their forms/IAF and/or not printed in the admit cards have been directed to report to Board’s office on or before April 15 with admit cards for clarification. Nagaland Board of School Education secretary Asano Sekhose notified that failing to report to the office would lead to cancellation of their examination. NPF Mkg ECC meet DIMAPUR: Second meeting of divisional Election Campaign Committee (ECC), NPF Mokokchung division for the forthcoming parliamentary election would be held on April 2 at 1 pm at its divisional office. All NPF legislators from Mokokchung including associate member, central office bearers, members of the working committee and central executive committee, divisional office bearers, frontal functionaries (both central and division), A/C NPF president/general secretaries (21-30) and members of the divisional election campaign committee have been requested to attend the meeting. According NPF Mokokchung division President, Aolepden and General Secretary (Admn), Mangyangnungba, the meeting will be addressed by Imkong L. Imchen, Minister Home and Convenor of the District Election Committee and Dr. Ngangshi K. Ao Associate member and co-convenor. Terms and condition of CIC service DIMAPUR: State government has provided facilities of the condition of service the chief information commissioner (CIC) as per the provision of the Right to Information Act 2005. According to an official bulletin, the CIC would hold his office for a term of 5 years or till he attains the age of 65. He would be eligible for LTC, leave and medical facilities as applicable to a member of All India Service Officer, drawing a pay of Rs. 30,000 per month and would not be eligible for DA on service pension during his tenure and a month sumptuary allowance as admissible to the Election Commission of India from time to time shall be admissible to the CIC. Phom Monyu fest DIMAPUR: Dimapur Phom Union (DPU) has extended greetings to all the people of Phom community on the occasion of ‘Phom Monyu’ festival. The biggest festival of Phom community is celebrated for six days starting April 1. Dimapur Phom Union has appealed all heads of department and educational institutions to grant one-day restricted holiday to members of Phom community so as to enable them to celebrate the festival. Konyak Aoleng fest DIMAPUR: Konyak Union Chumukedima (KUC) has requested all head of department, Institution of both government and private to grant restricted holiday to all it members to enable them to participate in the Aoleng festival held every year from April 1 to 6. The union would celebrate the festival commencing on April 3 at the residence of its union Treasurer, C. Chinkup, near Agape school, Chumukedima.
