With a view to conduct checking of Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) trade license in all the 23 (twenty three) wards, DMC Chairperson, Khekaho Assumi has assigned the councilors and officials to conduct the trade license checking from May 1 and to submit the report to him. According to a press release issued by DMC Chairperson, the assigned councilors and officials are as follows, in group A, T. Vikheho Zhimomi, councilor DMC; Yanger Toshi, councilor DMC; Y. Vitoni, LDA DMC; Ayamo Lotha, SA DMC and Ramjatan Singh, peon DMC. In group B, Yanger Imchen, councilor DMC; H. Thong, councilor DMC; Sensimong Lotha, LDA DMC; Agan Rongmei, RST collector DMC and Lichamo, LDA DMC. In group C, Simon Yepthomi, councilor DMC; Chobathung Lotha, councilor DMC; Abdul Noor, computer operator DMC; Illy, LDA DMC and Subeder Ram, peon DMC. In group D, N.K. Gonmei, councilor DMC; V. Nyekha, councilor DMC; Katoli, LDA DMC; Hukhato Assumi, LDA DMC and Nytoi, RST collector DMC.
The release also stated that while conducting checking, the official would impose a fine of Rupees Five Hundred as penalty on the traders or shopkeepers who are found running business without the trade license.
Further, it stated that checking would be under the supervision of D.P. Angami, Deputy Chairperson DMC who is also in charge of trade license.
