Deputy speaker for Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA), Ralanthung and Land Owner’s Union Doyang Hydro Electric Project (LOUDHEP) have condemned the killing of Tsenchithung Yanthan (Tonphokko) by unidentified miscreants on April 24. Condemning the killing, NLA deputy speaker in a press communiqué stated that a postmortem was conducted on late Tsenchithung’s body at Wokha civil hospital where it was found that late Yanthan’s body was found with broken skull, a broken right hand for which he called upon all right thinking citizens to condemn the inhuman attitude of the ‘perpetrators’ while also urged for justice so that such inhuman act would not be repeated again. Conveying condolences to the bereaved family members and eternal rest of the departed soul, the NLA deputy speaker also extended gratitude to doctors and nurses of Wokha Civil Hospital, administration, police, Churches, WTC and all well wishers for their help rendered. LOUDHEP: Land Owner’s Union Doyang Hydro Electric Project (LOUDHEP) has also condemned the killing of Tsenchithung Yanthan (Tonphokko) by unidentified miscreants on April 24. “The culprit (s) involved in such beastly act must be arrested, given befitting punishment and justice brought early,” stated the union while conveying condolences to the bereaved family members and also praying for the eternal rest of the departed soul. YANTHAN CLAN: Yanthan Clan has also condemned the killing of an NSCN (IM) cadre, Tsenchithung Yanthan of Lakhuti village, on April 24 at Doyang, Wokha, by ‘ss’ captain Amos Ngullie of ‘Thongo brigade’ and Yanthungo Odyuo in-charge of Englan Block, both from Riphyim village. While condemning the barbarous act of ‘savagery’ committed by the two NSCN (IM) cadres, chairman of the Clan, M. Jerry Yanthan, and Lakhuti village council chairman, Mhonthung Yanthan, in a joint press release, have urged the NSCN (IM) to take necessary actions at the earliest to ensure that criminals were given befitting punishment. The release also stated that if the NSCN (IM) office fails to initiate action against the culprits, the Clan would take up the matter as per the customary practices as the crime was committed without any order or warrant action to ‘murder/kill’ of Tsenchithung Yanthan.
