Congress in Arunachal West parliamentary constituency has termed the BJP's demand of repolling in Mukto and Palin Assembly constituencies as ''false and fabricated''. Congress candidate from the constituency Takam Sanjoy strongly reacted to BJP nominee Kiren Rijiju's satement in a press conference on Tuesday, which had alleged that in all the booths of the constituencies Congress had resorted to booth capturing and demanded repolling in these constituencies. ''The letter written to the Election Commission is false and fabricated and aimed at undoing the loss already suffered by the BJP in the April 16 electoral battle,'' Mr Sanjoy said in a statement. He added the BJP had morally and practically accepted defeat before counting takes place on May 16. Terming the BJP's allegations of using guns and weapons during the electoral process as serious, Sanjoy challenged the saffron party to provide evidence to substantiate their claims and further threatened to register criminal and defamation case along with other election laws. ''Did Rijiju use guns and weapons when 95 per cent polling was registered at Mukto and Palin constituencies during the 2004 Lok Sabha elections when he swept the polls in the same constituencies,'' he questioned. Taking a dig at BJP's demands for repolling, Sanjoy said the party would again demand repolling in entire West Parliamentary constituency to hoodwink the people.
