BJP legislator and parliamentary secretary for Irrigation & Flood Control, Border Affairs and Geology & Mining Y. Patton along with party delegation made his maiden visit to BJP Head Office in Delhi after completion of Lok Sabha Elections in Nagaland.
Patton met the BJP National President Rajnath Singh M.P and apprised him of the peaceful conduct of Lok Sabha Elections in Nagaland and a certain victory of DAN consensus candidate C.M. Chang which would be a result of complete cohesiveness among the DAN alliance partners under the leadership of state chief minister Neiphiu Rio. Patton on behalf of BJP Party, Nagaland Unit extended best wishes to Rajnath Singhji for the formation of a BJP led NDA Government under the Prime Ministership of Lal Krishna Advani.
According to a press release issued by BJP spokesman Basu Damani, while interacting with National President of the Party along with other Central leaders Patton opined that it was only BJP led NDA Government who looked with sympathy towards smaller states for better rule, citing the example of creation of Uttarakhand, Jharkhand and Chattisgarh during the NDA rule.
Patton apprised the National President that the developmental Package extended to Nagaland by NDA Government under the then Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee during his maiden visit to Nagaland was still acknowledged by government of Nagaland on every available platform with gratitude and expressed hope that when NDA formed Government in the Centre the NDA would adopt the same attitude towards Nagaland in particular where the modernization of basic amenities was the need of the hour
