The Kripa Foundation Nagaland on Wednesday evening felicitated Rev. Fr. Joseph Hilary Pereira , founder and managing Trustee, Kripa foundation, who was conferred with National Honour Padmashree 2009 recently by the Union government.
Rev. Fr. Joseph Hillary Pereira was awarded the Padmashree Award for his Yeoman Social Service and one of the pioneers of rehabilitation of alcoholics and drug addicts in India and made the world a difference in the lives of individuals who were once plagued by the scourge of alcoholisms and drug addiction.
In his address Rev. Fr. Joseph Hilary Pereira challenged the youths of Nagaland to go and work outside the state , adding the youths of Nagaland has tremendous potentialities and would able to deliver goods to the people.
Fondly as Fr. Joe also challenged the Naga Mothers Association to go and work in the interior parts the state in the services of the needy people.
NMA President Kheshili on behalf of the all Naga mother congratulated Fr. Joe for getting the Padmashree award and stated that he was guiding star, who help the NMA over the years to help run its rehab. She also prayed that almighty God to give a long life to Fr. Joe so that he could continue to work for the people through out the world.
Rt. Rev. Jose Mukhala , Bishop of Nagaland also lauded work of Fr. Joe and thank him for helping the people of Nagaland.
Earlier the introductory of Rev. Fr. Joseph Hilary Pereira was given by Nini Lungalang , while dr. P. Ngully, Chairman Kripa Nagaland , chaired the function and vote of delivered by Dr. Joyce Angami.
