CSD lays down rules for mechanics

Consumer Society Dimapur (CSD) district has appealed to the mechanic for repairing TV, computer set, radio, watches, tape, mobile and any other electronics items that they are to produce licence and training institute certificate in their respective shops, failing which it said, he/she would be penalized as per law. The society in a release issued by its president Vinito Chophy stated the order was issued in lieu of so many mechanics in Nagaland operating without any certificate or in some case with false certificate damaging the goods while repairing and losing the customer’s goods. The CSD further appealed to shopkeepers, traders not to sell good without taking into account the company’s price list especially Hong Kong market and Shangrila where goods are being sold at the shopkeepers own price on items like shoes, readymade garments, mobiles, second-hand goods, and electronics.
