World facing ‘trust bankruptcy today’, says Shishak

Missiological Research Center (MRC), Dimapur held its 12th Graduation Ceremony on Thursday here at MRC campus with Principal Emeritus Patkai Christian College, Rev. Dr. Tuisem Shishak as chief guest. Addressing the graduating students, Dr. Tuisem called upon students to carry the kingdom and truth of God forward as the world faced ‘trust bankruptcy today’. The reason people do not trust anymore was because people stay away from truth, ‘without truth there is no trust’, Dr. Tuisem said. He also advised the students to put Christ at the centre of their lives asserting that amidst violence and chaos in the world today, the Christian message of hope still existed. Altogether 18 students graduated; three students graduated in Master of Divinity, one student in Master of Arts in Mission, seven students in Bachelor of Missiology, three students in Diploma in Missiology and two students were conferred with Certificate in Missiology and two students for short term Missionary Orientation course. Awards including Principal’s Award for Outstanding in Academic Excellence were presented to Saran Rana, Bachelor of Missiology, Luchie Thupitor was awarded President’s Award for Best Thesis, D. Haralu’s Award for demonstrating zeal and commitment in soul winning ministry was awarded to Suvita Rana and Akhup Mangte was presented Student of the Year Award at the ceremony. Earlier in the programme, invocation was pronounced by Rev. Dr. Rabi Pame welcome address by founder President MRC Rev. Dr. Phuveyi Dozo. Special songs were presented by Lotha Baptist Church Chumukedima and MRC Choir Principal Rev. Dr N. Toshi, Academic Dean and Board Chairman conferred the degrees and presented special awards. Commissioning prayer was delivered by Executive Secretary, Nagaland Police Baptist Churches Association, Rev. Dr. Mong, while Regional Director, Indian Institute of Missiology, Rev. Dr. Khehovi Sohe delivered the benediction. Missiological Research Center is affiliated to the Indian Institute of Missiology and an associate members of Asia Theological Association, India.
