Catholic youths trained on leadership

A three-day leadership training programme of Don Bosco Youth Centre started on April 17. The programme is being organized by Angami Catholic Youth Association (ACYA) the apex body of more than two thousand Angami Catholic Youths of Nagaland in collaboration with Don Bosco Youth Centre (DBYC). The first day session was inaugurated by Kohima District Education Officer, Vikepelhu Lucas Meyas. Speaking to the participants on ‘art of effective speaking’ he stressed on the need to apply effective speaking in today’s world. He expressed hope to see several trained and capable youth leaders and preachers coming up after the training programme was conducted fruitfully. Director of DBYC, Kohima, Fr. Ranjit sdb while interacting with the participants on the second day brought out number of effective leadership qualities which attracted youths to follow their leader. He exhorted that “charisma of the leader attracted the people to him or her because of qualitative personality.”
