Rodent pest mngt training for officers DIMAPUR: Department of agriculture would be organizing a state level orientation cum refresher training at rodent pest management for senior level officers at conference hall directorate Kohima on April 27, 10am. Registration for the programme would start 9am onwards and all DAOs, senior agronomist Merapani, i/c SARS Yisemyong SDAO’s and 3 officers each from forest, horticulture, soil and water conservation NEPED and bamboo mission departments have been requested to attend the training positively. Meanwhile, refresher training for field officers, extension functionaries in the department would be conducted at IETC Medziphema from April 29 to 30. All DAO’s and SDAO’s of Longleng, Kiphire and Peren have been requested to send 3 officers from the district without fail and to report by April 28 to 29 in the morning. Ladigarh residents appeal state govt DIMAPUR: Ladigarh Village Council (LVC) has appealed to the state government and all the authorities to intervene in to the matter wherein Ladigarh villagers were not allowed to cast votes by armed Assam police and public from neighboring places who forcibly captured government LP school, Ladigarh on April 16. According to a joint statement issued by chairman Ladigarh village council Prem Joshi and Ladigarh village VDB secretary S. Shongvai, it was the first time since 1972 that the villagers were casting their vote as per the directive of the Election Commission of India, adding that the land belongs to the Phom tribe under Longleng district. The council further requested the law enforcing agencies to deploy adequate number of security personnel at Ladigarh village to save and protect the villagers. CTC inform plot holders DIMAPUR: Chumukedima Town Council (CTC) has informed all plot holders within Chumukedima town jurisdiction that renewal of land patta and fresh registration of land which commenced from April 17 would continue till May 22. CTC has also informed all responsible that any complaint or objection in regard to reservation of approach road, footpath and drain should be forwarded to the responsible authority for necessary amicable settlement. NASU DIMAPUR: Niuland Area Students’ Union (NASU) has convened an emergency meeting on April 22 at 10 am at the residence of its banker in Niuland. All office bearers and advisors have been requested to attend the meeting. DWRU DIMAPUR: An emergency meeting of Dimapur Wozhuro Range Union (DWRU) has been convened on April 25 at 9 am at the union’s plot, Diphupar, for which all its office bearers, executive members and elders of all the three units including Phiro, Shaki and Sankiton villages have been requested to attend the meeting NPBCA DIMAPUR: An executive meeting of Nagaland Police Baptist Churches Association (NPBCA) has been convened on April 22 at 5 pm for which all its executive members have been requested to attend the meeting. CPO DIMAPUR: A consultative cum executive council meet of Chakhesang Public organization (CPO) has been convened on April 23 at Chetheba town hall at 11am to discuss agendas including biodiversity, jungle burning and other related issues concerning the welfare of the community. All present and former legislators, VCC, head GB, VDB secretary and youth presidents, frontal organizations and public leaders have been requested to attend the meeting. RCN DIMAPUR: General meeting of Rongmei Council Nagaland (RCN) has been convened on April 25 at 10 am at Kohima for which all Rongmeis of Nagaland have been requested to attend the meeting. Power Faith concert KOHIMA: A concert in aid of students’ ministry under Nagaland Baptist Churches Council under the theme Power Faith would be held on April 21, 5 pm at Kohima Local Ground. Special appearances for the evening would include Divine Connection and JAM Ministry.
