AASA/Khulu trophy from Apr 28 Dimapur, Apr 21(NPN): A five day Atoizu Area Sports Association (AASA) Khulu trophy would commence from April 28 with parliamentary secretary for industries and commerce, Dr. Nihoshe as chief guest and former games secretary of AASA, G.Hetovi as guest of honour respectively. In this regard, the association informed all heads of departments to be at their respective station on or before April 27 and at the same time asked all ASSA office bearers advisers and team representatives to attain the meeting on April 27. KYC, SUM register wins in Frolic Cup Dimapur, Apr 21 (NPN): Kuki Youth Club (KYC) and Spartan United Molvom (SUM) registered victorious in the opening matches of the first Frolic Cup 2009, soccer tournament played at Medziphema local here, Tuesday. The tournament is being organized by Frolic Cup on the theme, “goal for change”. In the first match Kuki Youth Club defeated Sirhima Youth Organization by a penalty shoot out 4-1, after both sides were locked goalless in the regulated time. In the second match of the day, Spartan United Molvom blanked Green Hill Club Medziphema by 4-0. Earlier, the tournament was declared opened by MLA 5th Ghaspani II A/C, K. Hollohon as chief guest. He also donated Rs. 50,000 towards the club. Altogether, 17 teams are taking part in the tournament.
