Teachers ask govt to ensure justice

All Nagaland School Teachers’ Association (ANSTA), Dimapur, unit has expressed dismay over the Nagaland government’s failure to respond to the clarification sought by them in regard to the salaries of some schools which have been withheld after the month of February even after due verification from the department concerned. Lamenting that some schools had the privilege to receive their salaries till March while others had received only up to the month of January on the pretext of verification, the ANSTA Dimapur unit in a press release jointly issued by its president, P. Vashum, and general secretary, Hotovi, said that action of the school education department showed discrepancies which needs to be rectified to ensure justice. ANSTA Dimapur through the release also stated that a general meeting would be convened on April 27 at 10am at Government Higher Secondary School ground, Dimapur, if the salaries were not cleared.
