Nagaland wins 3 silvers in sepaktakraw

Nagaland team both men and women won three silver medals in the Regu and Double events in the 3rd Federation Cup that was concluded at Aizwal, Mizoram on Wednesday. Talking over to Nagaland Post through phone, State sepaktakraw coach, Holshe Khrieo who is currently in Mizoram said both the men’s and women’s teams went down fighting to Manipur in the final matches. The women’s team claimed two silvers in the Regu and Doubles events. In the Regu event the team lost to Manipur 11-21, 14-21, and in Double event it lost again to Manipur 14-21, 16-21. Men’s team clinched the silver after going down to Manipur 17-21, 15-21, in the final match. Though, both the teams acquired only silver medals, Holshe said, that he was very happy with the team performances. The team would be arriving Dimapur on Friday night. The team was led by Holshe Khrieo as coach, Lanu Yaden as team manager and Aren Toshi as official referee.
