One killed, two injured in mudslide

Two labourers were injured while another succumbed to his injuries when a mass of mud and boulders slide down and crushed them while digging mud for construction of a retaining wall near Conservator of Forest Office, Forest Colony here, Wednesday at around 10 am. The deceased who succumbed to his injuries at Bethel Hospital was identified as One Zakier (20) hailing from Silchar while the other two injured were identified as Lakhindar Sharma (20) and Shambu (36). Of the two injured, the later is stated to have suffered multiple broken bone injuries on the hands and leg and was stated to be in a critical condition at the Naga Hospital Kohima. Two labourers were digging mud while some other labourers were standing nearby when the incident took place.
