The Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) Friday said that it would look into the issue of its speaker, Cusayi Lohe’s alleged controversial involvement in ballot box capturing episode on April 16 night between Porba village and Phek. Replying to a query at the press conference, organized on the sideline of its 23rd general conference here on Friday NSF president, Imchatoba Imchen; general secretary, Hetoi Chishi and vice president, Charles Lotha said that to find out the authenticity of the issue they have assigned their machineries to gather evidence. Describing the incident as unfortunate, as NSF was dragged into the issue, NSF president said once the process of authenticity was completed they would definitely come up with an action as per the constitution. “It is unfortunate for our office, as NSF has been dragged….we will definitely come up with an action as per the constitution, as we are all under constitution,” Imchatoba said. Stating that NSF was not a political organisation, federation general secretary, Hetoi Chishi said even thought they don’t have restriction to exercise franchise they don’t encourage political affiliation by any of its members and that it was against the principles of the organisation. Maintaining that the issue would be brought to light very soon, NSF executives said it was their responsibility to restore the image of the federation. “We are confident that the image of the NSF is restored, even in the case of our speaker,” NSF vice president, Charles Lotha averred. They also hinted that the issue would be resolved before their conference starts scheduled April 27.
