Army recruitment rally to be held in Jalukie for the post of soldier GD would be applicable to those male candidates from all northeastern states who have participated at the state or higher levels in sports and games recognized by the sports authority of India (SAI). The intending candidates have been informed to appear for the screening test to the various posts advertised on June 9. Educational qualification for the post of soldier GD post include 8th passed or higher a applicable of their respective states with minimum of 17½ years of age on June 2009 and should not have attained 21 years of age for non 10+2 candidates and 23 years for 10+2 candidates, minimum height of not less than 157cms for 10+2 candidates and not less than 160cms for other, chest and weight of 77cms and 48kgs respectively, and should meet minimum physical fitness and medical standards laid down for the Indian army.
For the post of soldier technical/NA/Clk/SKT, male candidates who have qualified in 10+2 with pass marks in English and PCM of PCB or within 40% in each subject and aggregate not less than 50% in arts and commerce belonging to all northeast states can appear for the rally scheduled on June 11, 7am. Bonus marks would be awarded to candidates who have participated in recognized sports at the state or higher levels.
Meanwhile, candidates appearing for the rally have been informed to produce original sports, educational, caste and residential certificates along with two photostat copy and 10 clear, latest colored passport sized photograph taken in light colored shirts.
