NLA meet on public accounts DIMAPUR: Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) has convened the first meeting of committee on public accounts on May 28 at assembly committee room, 11 a.m, for adoption of 87th and 88th action taken report and to chalk out the works programme for 2009-2010 of Public Accounts Committee, Nagaland Assembly. All members of the committee on public accounts have been requested to attend the meeting. Trg on Right to information Act 2005 DIMAPUR: All deputy inspector of schools, public information office under school education department have been informed to attend the training course on ‘Right to Information Act 2005’ at Administration Training Institute (ATI) Kohima, from May 27 to 29 at 9:30 a.m. Rengma Theological conference DIMAPUR: The 27th Rengma Theological conference would be held at K station Baptist church from May 22 to 24 on the theme “I am the way…” (John 14:6). Main speakers for the conference would be Rev. M.K Lorin pastor RBC Sovima, Phanenmo Kath lecturer ETC Jorhat, Assam and Hinilo Tep president RTC. All Rengama Theological members, delegates of CRBC affiliated Churches have been informed to attend the conference. World Bank’s 2 day visit in Nagaland DIMAPUR: World Bank team led by joint secretary DONER, Jayashree Mukerjee along with five other officials is on a two day visit to Nagaland. The visiting team would hold a meeting with administrative heads and heads of development department on the second day, May 20 at 10 a.m. Hotel Japfu, Kohima. Zeliangrong Baudi (N) meet DIMAPUR: Meeting of Zeliangrong Baudi (N) has been convened on May 25, 10 am, at the residence of Raitu Elu vice president Zeliangrong Baudi (N) Peren. All office bearers, zonal representative and executive members have been informed to attend the meeting. BSNL employees meet DIMAPUR: The fourth joint circle conference of BSNL employees union of Assam, NE-I and NE-II would be held from May 22 to 24 at Durga Mandir, old daily market, Dimapur. DEOSWA meet Dimapur: DEO Staff Welfare Association (DEOSWA) Dimapur would have a meeting on May 21 at 11 am at DEO, office Dimapur. CSU fourth union assembly DIMAPUR: The fourth union assembly of Chakhesang Student Union (CSU) has been convened on June 6 at 11 am, at I.C.S. building, Kohima. All Federation units have been requested to attend the meeting. GBs, DBs forum Dimapur meet DIMAPUR: Urgent meeting of GBs and DBs Joint Forum Dimapur unit has been convened on May 21, 11 am, at DC’s Office Conference Hall. All office bearers have been requested to attend the meeting. LSUD felicitation programme DIMAPUR: Longjang Students’ Union Dimapur (LSUD) would organize a felicitation programme for the successful candidates of HSLC and HSSLC on May 23, 2pm, at the residence of its treasurer for which all successful candidates within its jurisdiction have been informed to attend the programme. Ghokimi Students’ Union summer meet DIMAPUR: Ghokimi Students’ Union (GSU) has convened its annual summer meet on May 25 at the residence of its banker, Ghokimi village for which all executives have been requested to attend the meeting. DPDB Peren meet DIMAPUR: Monthly meeting of DPDB, Peren, has been convened on May 22, 11am in the conference hall of DC, Peren. CSUD inform HSLC students DIMAPUR: Chuchuyimpang Students’ Union Dimapur (CSUD) has informed all its members who have secured more than 60 percent and above in HSLC exam to submit their photo copies of mark sheet and admit card to the union office latest by May 21. Dimapur Sumi Students’ Union meet DIMAPUR: An emergency meeting of Dimapur Sumi Students’ Union has been convened on May 20, 1 pm, at the residence of union banker, Notun Bosti. DPDB Mon meet DIMAPUR: Monthly meeting of DPDB, Mon, has been convened on May 22, 12.30 pm in the conference hall of DC, Mon. One run over by train Dimapur: An unidentified man (non local) in his mid 30s was run over by a train at Dimapur railway station, here on Tuesday. GRPS personnel who retrieved the body in the morning said the deceased was wearing a blue colored strip shirt and a grey pants. The body had been kept at civil morgue for identification. (Staff Reporter) CASU notify govt servants DIMAPUR: Coco Area Students’ Union (CASU) has notified all government servants employed under Akuhaito town and Coco area, especially officers in-charge of various departments to be in station before June 1. CASU in a press note issued by its president, Abeto also informed teachers of GHS Akuhaito to be regular and sincere in their duties and directed that the union would take its course of action against persons who fail to comply with the notice.Ganja recovered from bus Kohima: Nagaland State Transport (NST) authority handed over an unclaimed baggage to the police containing around 27 kgs of contraband Ganja reportedly recovered from a Dimapur bound NST Bus (NL-11-0825) at around 9.10 am, Tuesday. Station Superintendent, NST Kohima Vikiho H Yepthomi handed over the contraband along with an official letter addressed to the OC North P.S. Kohima seeking further necessary action. (Correspondent)
