Flush out operation in colonies

As a part of the ongoing drive, a combined force of Dimapur DEF, IR and 24 Assam Rifles personnel Thursday morning carried out a flush-out operation in various localities simultaneously. According to police, the combined force comprising of more than 300 personnel carried our combing operation in areas including Toluvi, Wungram, West Yard, Railway bazaar, Xuvihe colony, Chhateshwari, Sema tilla, Lingrijan, Dilai area, Niu colony, Veterinary colony and Railway colony. No one was arrested nor any seizures made during the entire operation, police said. One Assam Rifles officer disclosed that the operation was routine and launched to flush out the underground activists from civilian areas. Meanwhile, police said all underground activists were ordered to return to their respective designated camps and requested council chairmen and members not to harbour any group or factions in their respective colonies. Police has disclosed that such flush-out operations would be carried out any time. (Staff reporter)
