In a series of road mishaps in and around Kohima, injured six persons including 4 females on Sunday.
According to the police, a city bus (NL01B-0457) reportedly driven by the conductor and brother of the bus driver, on the way to government high school junction lost control and rammed in to the four parked vehicles near Koinonia church, Keziekie at 5.30 pm.
Police sources said the city bus first hit one stationary Maruti van (NL01C-6420) which turned turtle and later on went and hit a scooter and two other Maruti vans parked at the area, injuring four pedestrians.
Police sources said that one Videnuo (26) of Nehrema village left leg was reportedly broken and was immediately admitted to Naga hospital for further medical treatment, while Alo Rutsa, a resident of P. Khel, Kohima, who was also injured, was shifted to Oking hospital and kept under observation. Meanwhile, two girls who also sustained minor injuries were administered first aid and later discharged. Both the conductor and brother of driver, who was reportedly driving the bus without proper driving license, are absconding, it was reported.
In another accident, two persons, both father and daughter sustained minor injuries near SSB camp, Phek road, Kohima around 6 pm while their vehicle (NL01C-8882) lost control and rolled down the road.
