PMC new office building DIMAPUR: Newly constructed office building of District Planning Machinery Cell, (PMC) Mokokchung would be inaugurated by Additional Chief Secretary & Development Commissioner, Nagaland, Alemtemshi Jamir on May 29. Training of ToTs in Mokokchung DIMAPUR: Director General, Civil Defence & Home Guards, Nagaland, Kohima has notified that Training of Trainers (ToTs) on Capacity Building would be held at Town Hall Mokokchung from May 27 to 29. All Ward members in Mokokchung town have been informed to participate in the training. Entrance test for IBD and BD DIMAPUR: Entrance test for IBD and B.D. would be conducted on June 5 at 9 a. m in the Old Library Hall, Baptist Theological College. Senokhape Losu at 9436642791 and 03865-262442 (R) Inauguration of Dongkhao village DIMAPUR: Newly recognised Dongkhao village would be inaugurated on June 5 at 1:30 p.m. Chief guest for the occasion would be Parliamentary Secretary R.D and REPA S. Pangnyu Phom. DAN legislature parties meet DIMAPUR: Meeting of the members of the legislature parties of DAN including associate members has been convened on June 3 at 11 a.m. Chief minister Neiphiu Rio has requested all the members to attend the meeting. CAST jubilee DIMAPUR: Chumukedima Ao Senso Telongjem (CAST) would be celebrating silver jubilee on May 28 at Chumukedima. Khiamniungan Union Kohima session DIMAPUR: The general session of the Khiamniungan Union Kohima would be held on May 30 from 10 am at State Academy Hall, Kohima. H Lam, General Secretary of the union, through a press release, requested all Khiamniungans residing in and around Kohima to attend the session. NSF federal assembly DIMAPUR: Naga Students Federation (NSF) would be conducting its first Federal assembly for 2009-2011 tenure on June 12 from 11 am at NSF conference hall. Kelhouneizo Yhome, Speaker, NSF, through a press release, informed all federal units and sub-ordinate bodies to forward any agendas before the commencement of the assembly while also requesting them to attend the meeting. 58 Shamator - Chessore ACCC meeting DIMAPUR: Meeting of 58 Shamator – Chessore ACCC (I) has been convened on June 5 at Shamator town. The party general secretary, 58 Shamator – Chessore A/C, Kiuji, requested all active members, office bearers of AMCC (I) and AYCC (I) and frontal organization to attend the meeting. North east zonal meeton child welfare DIMAPUR: Nagaland Council for Child Welfare (NCCW) would be organising a North-east zonal meeting on June 4 at Japfu Hotel, Kohima, sponsored by Indian Council for Child Welfare (ICCW). The meeting would be held with Governor of Nagaland K. Sankaranarayanan as the chief guest and President, Indian Council for Child Welfare (ICCW) Gita Siddhartha as guest of honour. KY tree plantation drive DIMAPUR: Kigwema Youth, Kohima would be organising a tree plantation drive on roadside of the village at NH – 39 on May 30 with the group leaving from Network counter, Kohima at 9 am. All members and well wishers have been requested to participate in the programme. Kigwema Youth have informed that transportation and lunch would be provided by Vikho-o Yhoshu, MLA and Advisor IT & TE, Nagaland. WSSA emergency meeting DIMAPUR: An emergency meeting of Western Sumi Sports Association(WSSA) (Z.M.T.) has been convened on May 30 at 9 a.m. at WSSA office, 3rd mile. All office bearers, chief advisor and board members have been requested to attend the meeting. Scholarship for engineering students DIMAPUR: All engineering final year students, both degree and diploma course, studying within and outside the state have been informed to collect scholarship, stipend from directorate of Technical Education from June 1 to October 15 at office hours. Additional Director A.K Kathipri in a notification stated, payment of scholarship would not be entertained after October 15. Rongmei Council Nagaland new team DIMAPUR: Rongmei Council Nagaland in its general meeting held on April 25 in Kohima, elected a new team of office bearers comprising of James Akham- President, Belief Gonmei- General Secretary, Athui Gonmei- Cultural Secretary and Akhu Gangmei- Treasurer, with Namgai Gonmei and G. Patrick in the advisory board. Further all three zonal Presidents would be vice-presidents by virtue. Training conducted on Rabi& Kharif crops DIMAPUR: The Agriculture department Tseminyu sub-division conducted a one-day training programme on Rabi and Kharif crops for implementation of oil seed crops under MACRO-Management 2008-09 at Kandinu Village on May 20. Various resource persons spoke on topics like soyabean, sesamum, groundnuts and their uses. A press release issued by agriculture officer SDAO Tseminyu Athinu Rengma stated that besides interacting with the trainees, the department also distributed Soyabean, Sesamum and groundnut seeds. Altogether 45 trainees attended the training programme.
