To get firsthand knowledge on various developmental projects undertaken by state government under Central and State funded schemes, a team of officials of Planning & Coordination Department accompanied by some officials from allied department like DRDA, Town Planning etc visited places in and around Dimapur.
The team visited the new Deputy Commissioner’s Office Complex, Nagaland State Mineral & Decorative Stone Plant at Chümukedima, Naga United Village and Diphupar ‘A’ and Housing Complex for slum development under Jawaharlal Nehru National Renewable Mission (JNNURM) Project under Town Planning Department at Burma Camp and Netaji Colony
According to an official bulletin, while interacting with village functionaries including village chairman &VDB Secretaries and elders, Assistant Development Commissioner Anungba Ao said the study tour was undertaken with the direction from Planning Minister and Additional Chief Secretary & Development Commissioner to study whether all projects were being implemented in all districts of the state as both central and state funds come through the Planning Department.
He urged the village functionaries to implement the Government projects and schemes judiciously for the benefit of public and also for the state in general. He also said the department would sanction any amount for development and cautioned that it would see if projects were being implemented properly.
