Kiphire District Congress Committee (KDCC) has opposed the directives of BDOs under Kiphire by inviting all village council chairmen and VDB secretaries to hand over six days wage against each person under NREGA. Opposing the policy as out of NREGA’s guidelines and act, the Kiphire District Congress Committee (KDCC) in a press release issued by its president, Thritsali Sangtam, has appealed all VDBs and village council chairmen under the district to resist the ‘six days wage’ payment to the BDO. Meanwhile, the Kiphire District Congress Committee (KDCC)has also extended gratitude to ‘People of India’ for reposing their confidence to the Congress under the leadership of Sonia Gandhi, president, AICC, and Dr, Manmohan Singh, at the same time added that Kiphire District Congress Committee (KDCC) has committed itself to work ceaselessly to strengthen the party for viable political achievement for Nagaland. Also stating that Kiphire District Congress Committee (KDCC) has constituted 13 members of ‘Anti-Corruption Committee’ at an emergency meeting held on May 30, the Kiphire District Congress Committee (KDCC) press release said separate notification would be issued within a day or two while also resolved to appeal NPCC to accept CM Chang into Congress fold and to reject outside support to UPA government. Further, 59 ACCC Seyochung-Sitimi has entrusted to elect/select a NPCC member in place of former minister, late S. Setricho Sangtam, for which consultation and confidence of DCCs, Frontal Chief, Village Congress President and Area Unit President should be taken into account, added the KDCC press release.
