Generating awareness to students on disaster management

Awareness generation programme on disaster management was held Saturday at DC conference Hall Tuensang with W. Manpai Phom EAC Tuensang HQ as resources person. During the program, essay competitions were organized on the topic ‘Disaster Management’ with Merenla lecturer SCC Tuensang and Akyuba lecturer SCC, as panel of judges of the competition. Altogether, 10 schools participated two from each schools along with one teachers at the programme where, Yanglitsung class 10 from, St. Josheph school bagged the first position while, N.Chingbom Phom, class 10 from, Akum Imlong school bagged the second position and Yimsang Chipenla class 10 from, St. Josheph school. The consolation prizes were awarded to two students, Anong class 8 from Mt. Carmel School and Thriliba class 10 from Holy cross school. Speaking on the occasion as chief guest, DC Tuensang Y L Jami, lauded the effort made by district administration for uplifting the rural students in to the new zone of education career and also for responding in a positive way of development. Earlier, the program was chaired by the Sentiwapang Aier, SDO C HQ Tuensang.
