KHE felicitates new NSF team DIMAPUR: Kyong Hungjantaren Ekhüng (KHE), a non-profit association of like-minded educated Kyongs, has felicitated N. Ejanthung Ngullie, assistant general secretary-elect of Naga Students’ Federation. According to KHE release, apart from serving various student bodies, N. Ejanthung Ngullie, has also been serving the Kyongs as a present executive member of the KHE in the capacity of secretary, publicity and information. KHE also wished the newly elected office bearers of NSF led by president-elect Mitsikhoyo Yhobu and general secretary-elect O. Wati Jamir. Dungki VDB godown inaugurated DIMAPUR: Dungki VDB godown constructed under convergence programme of SGSY and NREGS was formally inaugurated by P. Koza, BDO Peren on May 1. Koza in his speech lauded VDB members for their excellent workmanship and encouraged the villagers to have unity and transparency among the members for the development of the village. According to Dungki VDB secretary, chief guest also donate d Rs. 20,000 for procurement of office furniture. Unidentified body found Dimapur: An unidentified dead body of a man was found at Hokhizhe village near K.L. Chishi farm, here, police said Sunday. According to police the deceased suspected to be in his late 30’s beaten to death by some blunt object was found Saturday night. The body could not be identified due to bruises mark all over his face, police said. The dead body has been kept in mortuary for identification. (Staff Reporter) Training on gender Senzitization held DIMAPUR: A three -day state level SAMETI training on gender Senzitization was held at SAMETI hall, Integrated Extension Training Institute (IETC), Medziphema from May 6-8 with Meyilemla IAS, Secretary of Agriculture as Chief Guest and Dr .Supong Keitzar, Director of Agriculture as the Chairperson. The Chief Guest stressed that the society need to identify the gap between optimal and actual needs of man and woman. While the chairperson stated that gender sensitization was an integral part of training and needed for bridging agricultural information gap between man and women. The technical sessions were facilitated by L.Butang and Watimongla, Lecturers at IETC. United Sangtam Students’ Conference lauds DIMAPUR: United Sangtam Students’ Conference congratulated Holiba Sangtam for successfully completing MBBS course from RIMS, Imphal. While Kitami Students’ Union congratulated Nillo Achumi for clearing MA (Education) in 1St class. Further, Rachu Students’ Union, Viswema felicitated Dr. Hovithal Norbert Sothu on being conferred Doctorate of Philosophy from t Nagaland University for his research.
