CSU: Chishilimi Students’ Union has vehemently condemned the May 2 ‘mistaken identity’ shooting incident at Dimapur where SKK Speaker, Benito Chishi and Advisor KSSU, Atoka Chophy, were seriously injured. The union through a joint statement issued by its Fin. Secy. Khekuto Achumi and Org. Secy. Bovika V. Chishi, conveyed its sympathy to the victims and their families and prayed for their speedy recovery. It further expressed support of the demand made by the All Sumi Students’ Union for the culprits to be handed over to the district administration at the earliest. . SASU: Seyochung Area Students’ Union has vehemently condemned the recent shooting incident on May 2 at Church Road, Dimapur meted out by GRRN/NSCN on student leaders Benito and Atoka Chophy, SKK Speaker and former President, KDSSU respectively, critically injuring them. Terming the incident as unfortunate and satanic design, the union through a press statement by Gen. Sec. Kyupise Sangtam, has extended it solidarity and full support to the demand of All Sumi Students’ Union to hand over the culprits to the administration and law enforcing agencies to deliver justice to the public and student organizations. SASU further urged right thinking citizens, civil societies, NGOs, and student organizations to condemn the inhuman act while conveying deep sympathy to the injured student leaders and their families, wishing them a speedy recovery. More condemnations on May 2 incident CSUD: Chakhesang Students Union Dimapur (CSUD) has condemned the shooting incident on May 2 where two student leaders Benito Chisho, speaker SKK and Akato Chophy former president KDSSU were injures seriously. The union further wished the victims a speedy recovery, and further urged the authorities to take immediate action. ARSU: Akuluto Range Students’ Union (ARSU) has condemned the “brutal act” meted against Bento Chisho, Speaker SKK (all Sumi Students’ Union) and Atoka former President KDSSU (Kiphire District Sumi Students’ union), on mistaken identity at Church road Dimapur by “GPRN/NSCN activist” on May 2. ARSU also extended appreciation and full support towards the initiative taken by the SKK and appealed to all the right thinking citizens to come forward and condemn such brutal act against innocent citizens. CASU: Chare Area Students’ Union (CASU) has condemned the May 2 incident where two student leaders, Bento Swu, Assembly speaker (SKK) and Atoka N Chophy were shot and critically injured. Describing the incident as “heinous crime which cannot be tolerated”, union in a press release issued by Its president Sentiba Sangtam and general secretary Lirila Sangtam urged the law enforcing agencies to nab the culprit at the earliest and award appropriate punishment as per the law. Union has prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured. MSUD: Mao Students’ Union Dimapur (MSUD) has condemned the May 2 shooting incident where two students’ leaders Benito Swu, speaker SKK and Atoka Chophy, former president KDSSU were injured. The union in a condemnation note issued by Kolo Mao, president MSUD has appealed to the concern authority for apprehends the culprits and deliver justice according to the provision of the law. Meanwhile has prayed for speedy recovery of the injured leaders. PTMK: Poumai Tsüdoumai Me, Kohima (PTMK) has condemned May 2 incident where former assembly speakers of all Sumi Students’ Union and former president of Kiphire district Sumi Students’ Union, Benito Swu and Atoka Chophy were shot by the so called national workers on mistaken identity in Dimapur. Union appealed all organizations to shun from violence and to continue to maintain peace and order in the state.
