A seminar on Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana Scheme (RSBYS) (Government of India initiative) with support of Government of Nagaland was held at Peren Town Council Hall on May 15.
According to an official bulletin, the seminar was conducted under the supervision of joint labour commissioner, E.P Ngullie, with an implementation partner, the New India Assurance Company Ltd Dimapur division.
Ngullie delivered the keynote address on general awareness of RSBYS for below poverty line families, whie Development Officer New India Assurance Company Ltd Dimapur Division, Nitesh Dey, spoke on the system and benefit of the smart card. Project officer Chubayanger, and senior labour officer Shidio also gave short speeches on health insurances benefits.
Meanwhile, manager, New India Assurance Company Ltd Dimapur Division, CMO Peren, MS Peren, CDPO Jakhama, Kezevi-o along with his team visited Angawati Centre at Kidima village on May 14. After visiting all Angawati centres, the CDPO interacted with the Angawati workers and helpers. He advised the workers to maintain the centre properly, keep the surrounding clean, dispose wastage materials and distribute food items at the right time. The workers meanwhile appreciated the CDPO for the visit and shared their problems and grievances, and the officers assured to take up the matter with the higher authority. The CDPO was accompanied by IA, Jakhama.
