Konyaks integrated part of Nagas: MC Konyak

Minister for Forest, Environment, Ecology, Wildlife & Excise M.C. Konyak said Konyaks were integrated part of the Nagas and should not think that they were isolated or alienated from Naga family. He called upon the Konyak to extend cooperation and support to other Nagas for peace and prosperity in the Naga inhabited areas. The minister was addressing the 29th session of Konyak Union (KU) on the theme ‘Unity and Integrity’ at Council hall, Mon on June 10. M.C Konyak said “We should live, act and think like the fellow Naga brothers and sisters for the welfare of the Nagas.” The Minister also appealed to take proper care of Shengphon Wildlife Sanctuary at Tiro and urged to preserve wildlife and plants for good environment and ecological balance. He also donated Rs. 50,000/ towards the welfare fund of the Union. Anok Wangsa Ex-Minister, Arunachal Pradesh also spoke at the gathering. According to Information Assistant Ronshong Konyak, the session started with invocation by Chemyuh Konyak, Executive Secretary KBBB and welcome address by President KU Khoiwang Wangsa. Other officials who attended the session included Nyeiwang Minister Education; C.L. John Chairman DPDB & MARCOFED; Chingwang Konyak, CLP Leader, Konngam Konyak, MLA; Gabriel D Wangsa Journalist, Arunachal; Mr. Tanpha Wangnao, Public leader Arunachal; Holai Wangnao, member Zella Parisad, Arunachal; Ngamkha Wangnao member, Zella Parisad Arunachal; L.T. Konyak, member Nagaland Finance Commission; Ex-ministers & MLAs; KNSK; KSU; and three delegates each from all 113 Federal units. The Program ended with reports, discussion on agenda, review of resolution and adopting new resolutions.
