Bokajan strike today

Bokajan on Sunday witnessed a wave of protests following the recovery of the bullet riddled body of Gopal Pareek, a local trader of Bokajan town from Saijang, Dillai who was abducted by unidentified gunmen from a place situated between Mohisha Killing village and Hidipi by some unidentified gunmen on June 10. Angry protestors under the banner of organizations like the AASU, Nepali Ekta Manch, All Adavasi Students’ Association , Marwari Yuva Manch , Hindi Bhasi Chatra Sanstha etc. have jointly decided to call for a 24-hour Bokajan sub-division strike on June 15. Meanwhile, UPDS leaders have announced that they would initiate an enquiry to unearth the mystery hogging the death of Gopal Pareek. Dillai Police earlier arrested six persons in connection with the kidnapping of Gopal Pareek. Army, police and CRPF personnel had also made frantic efforts to rescue Late Pareek from the kidnappers.
