Dihoma village meet postponed
DIMAPUR: Meeting of Dihoma village scheduled to be held on June 27 has been postponed. According to secretary, DRDK Vipulhou Lhoungu, the decision to postpone the meeting was taken by office bearers and advisory board of Dihoma Ramia Dzevi Krotho in its meeting due to ‘unavoidable’ circumstances.

SP Kohima notify defaulters
DIMAPUR: Superintendent of Police, Kohima has informed that the following vehicle owners of NL-01B-0688 (Mini Bus), NL-01C-8256 (Mini Bus), NL-07-7853 (Alto) were served “Summon Slips” for violating of traffic regulation in and around Kohima on June 9 and 10, however, it stated that even after a lapse of seven days, the defaulter vehicle owners did not report at the respective traffic police stations for settlement of penalty. In order to further avoid legal action being initiated against the defaulters Under Section 179 of MV Act, the owners of the vehicles have been directed to report to the concerned traffic PS.
DIMAPUR: The NSCN/GPRN has welcomed the home coming of two (2) NSCN (K) officials Major Mohesh Anal and 2nd Lieut. Chongam Anal who joined the national mainstream along with one AK-56 and one M-20. According to a press release issued by MIP/GPRN, the duo joined the national mainstream “few days back” admitting “grave mistakes in the past”, and had “solemnly pledged” to work unsparingly for the just cause of the nation under the peoples mandated and legitimate banner of NSCN (I-M).
One discharged from NSCN/GPRN
DIMAPUR: The office of Longvibu (Chief of the Army), general headquarters, Naga Army, through an order dated June 18 has discharged AB-10862, Major Thaiso Amos (Spmth) of Ihoshe Battalion, from active service of the Naga Army on medical ground. The MIP/GPRN in a press release stated the invaluable service rendered by him would always be cherished and go deep down in the history of the Naga nation.
MLA Chuba Chang lauded
TUENSANG: Noklangbou sector St. John ‘A’ Tuensang Town has lauded MLA 53 AC sadar 1, P.Chuba Chang, for constructing the new circular road at St. John ‘A’ Tuensang Town on June 16. Chairman sector union, Santong, has in particular lauded the MLA for uplifting the rural people in various developmental activities. Besides assuring to support the MLA, the Noklangbou sector expressed hope for more developmental work to be carried in the interior place in future.
DC Tuensang clarifies on YAA eco blockade
DIMAPUR: Responding to the news item issued by Yimahunger Akherü Arih-Ako in a local daily on June 17 under the caption ‘Yimahunger Akherü Arih-Ako (YAA) response to DC Tuensang’, the DC Tuensang Y.L Jami has clarified that indefinite economic blockade called by Yimahunger Akherü Arih-Ako was lifted in the evening of June 11 and there was no such indefinite economic blockade within Yimchunger area. Also refuting the Yimahunger Akherü Arih-Ako statement on “abducted leaders were beaten black and blue and head to toe”, Deputy Commissioner clarified no such incident were reported.

KOHIMA : The 9th Kohima Town A/C NPF has condoled the untimely demise of Lio Sangtam (joint secretary, youth wing of 9th Kohima Town A/C) on June 16 at Bethel Hospital Kohima. The party in a condolence message stated it regarded him as an active and energetic leader who had contributed to the party and the youth in general. DIMAPUR: Lotha Hoho Dimapur (LHD) has mourned the demise of Ezamo Odyuo, who was killed in a road accident on June 16 at Naharbari, Dimapur, after he was hit by a vehicle belonging to 21 Assam Rifle. Condoling the demise of late Ezamo, LHD has also appealed the state and the central government to treat the matter on priority and pay ex-gratia and other assistance at the earliest and further conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members.
