NSCN (IM) Kyong region has extended gratitude to all those who had participated in the Kyong National Worker’s fasting programme which was held on June 13 and 14 on the theme “When you pray I will answer you.”
According to a press release issued by the region’s secretary, Opon H. Kyong, the fasting programme was attended by people from all walks of life besides the apex civil societies of the district and also all Kyong national workers of GPRN/NSCN where Rev. Puni, vice-chairman, Council of Nagalim Churches (CNC), and Rev. Dr. Nrio Ezung, executive secretary, KBES, were present as main speakers.
Rev. Puni spoke on the need for change in the spiritual life of national workers while stressing the ills pervading individuals and national life of the Nagas.
He thanked the Kyong region for organizing the programme which according to him was first of its kind in the entire Nagalim and further expressed hop that it would set an example for all regions in Nagalim to emulate.
Also speaking at the programme, Dr. Nrio dwelled on the topic “When you pray I will protect you” and highlighted the crying need of the Nagas for peace within and outside and by quoting “Blessed are the peace makers for they shall be called the sons of God,” taken from Matthew Chapter 5:9.
Meanwhile, the programme was also attended by members of steering committee, RL Kinghen, M. Kikon, and education kilonser, BC Ezung, who exhorted the Kyong national workers on the fear God and for meaningful and quality service to the ‘sacred’ cause of the Naga nation.
