DLST lauds Goa, Bangalore police dept

Dimapur Longkong Senso Telongjem (DLST) has lauded the efforts of Goa and Bangalore police department for nabbing the murderer of late Toshimongba Jamir from Bangalore. A press release issued by Dimapur Longkong Senso Telongjem stated late Toshimongba who was working under Shree Punjab Classic Hotel Panjam, Goa “with no proper evidence” was murdered by one Vikram Saba Indra Bahadur of Nepal on June 13 in Goa. Condemning the ‘brutal killing’ of late Toshimongba, the Dimapur Longkong Senso Telongjem president T. S Imsong and general secretary M. Imna Longkumer demanded that “in any means” compensation should be given to late Toshimongba Jamir. DLST further urged the law enforcing authority to award befitting punishment to the culprit. ASUD condemns killing: Ao Students’ Union Dimapur (ASUD) has condemned the killing of Toshimongba Jamir, son of Alemnungba of Longkong village on June 13 allegedly by Vikram Saba of Nepal in Goa. According to a press release issued jointly by the union president, N. Sashi Walling, and assistant general secretary, Moayanger Jamir, late Toshimongba was stabbed 22 times on his neck, cheek, forehead, arms and stomach which showed the ‘brutality and savagery manner of attack’ ultimately leading to his death. The union also appealed all sections of the society to condemn the incident while also appealing the authorities in Goa and Nagaland to apprehend the accused at the earliest and prosecute according to relevant sections of the IPC. The union further conveyed condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for the eternal rest of the departed soul.
